Our Vicar

The Revd Canon Annette Reed

Annette Reed is our vicar. Born and raised in England Annette has been serving the United Benefice of The Paxtons with Southoe and Diddington since 2006.

Her training for the Church of England Ministry took place at The Queens College in Birmingham.

1987 - Deaconed in Coventry Cathedral.

1994 - Priested in Coventry Diocese.

1998 - 2006 - Team Vicar of The Sheepy Group in Leceistershire.
2006 - Moved to The Paxtons.
2007 - Became Rural Dean of St Neots.
2014 - Made a Canon of Ely Cathedral.

Annette describes herself as a Liberal Anglican. She enjoys village life and is pleased to welcome people to worship of any kind. A familiar face in the community she is committed to her work with young families and children - the Tots and Carer's group being a particular favourite each week.

Loves and joys

  • Her two grown up children, Mike and Adele.
  • Her granddaughter, Freya.
  • Her rescue greyhound Polly and her son's lurcher Charlie.
  • Plants and tending the vicarage garden.
  • History, she thinks of herself as "a bit of a local historian"
  • Church buildings - the architecture and the ways they are adapted/ re-ordered to better serve their communities
